During a two-week module at NID with Dileep Prakash on the basics of shooting and developing films and making silver gelatin prints, I undertook a short exercise of photographing commonplace as well as iconic architecture across Ahmedabad using only a 50mm lens. With an effort to steer away from the dogmas of the architectural-photography genre, I tried to explore how a subjective, fragmented, cursory and distorted framing of the architecture affects our perception of its figure and form.
